It was a film promotion with a difference in the Gujarati film industry on Sunday, July 10 in Aapnu Amdavad. The leading pair of the action packed thriller, ‘Raado’, Yash Soni, Tarjani Bhadla along with their co-stars Hitu Kanodia, Hiten Kumar, Bharat Chavda, Nilam Panchal, Devarshi Shah, and Chetan Daiya hit the streets of Ahmedabad on mean machine Harley Davidson carrying ‘Raado’ flag. They were accompanied by 40 Harley Davidson bikers.
The writer and director of the film Krishnadev Yagnik, the man with Midas’ touch in Gujarati film industry, said, “Generally, Gujarati films used to be made within the budget of Rs 3 crore. ‘Raado’ is the first-ever big budget film made at a cost of Rs 15 crore, a five-fold increase in budget. I am grateful to the producers Jayesh Patel, Munna Shukul and co-producers Nilay Chotai, Mit Chotai and Mehul Panchal for giving me a free hand.”
The 37-year-old director KD has so far delivered super-hits —Chhello Diwas, Karsandas Pay & Use, Shu Thayu and recently Naadi Dosh.
To a query on his challenging role in this film, Superstar Yash Soni attributed it to director KD and said, “I have concrete foundation in theatre. It is the director’s faith in me and other artistes to bring out our latent talents to the fore. KD Sir is an expert in this art. And I believe in team work to deliver the best to our fans.”
